Organization of State Milk Board

Uttar Pradesh State Milk Board was established as a regulatory body under section-3 of UP Milk Act 1976 which has been entrusted the responsibility to give momentum to dairy development program in the state. This organization provided pace to dairy development program also long with licensing work. In 1990, State Milk Board was declared as implementing agency of dairy development program in non-operation flood district which were called as Milk Board District. As a result of effective control desired results were obtained in developmental activity. In 2004, PCDF was declared as implementing agency for implementation of dairy development program and operation of commercial activity in both Operation Flood and Non- Operation Flood district uniformly.
