1. National Plan for Dairy Development(NPDD)
In 2014-15, the Government of India reorganized the old schemes and implemented
National Plan for dairy Development. The objective of this scheme is detailed below:
- Strengthening of infrastructure for quality milk production and establishment of
cold chain to connect producers from consumers.
- Establishment of infrastructure for milk procurement, processing and marketing facility.
- Setting up training facility for milk producers.
- Strengthening of village level milk cooperative society/ Producers Company.
- Milk production enhancement through technical input facilities such as Cattle Feed,
Mineral Mixture etc.
- Provide assistance in revival of viable milk unions/federations.
2. Rashtriya Krishi Vikash Yojna (RKVY)
Under RKVY, a financial assistance of Rs.195.205 lakh was made available to PCDF
in the financial year 2016-17 against budget provision of Rs.2000.00 lakh of which
Rs.267.25 lakh was released as state share for strengthening and modernization of
Ghazipur, Basti and Behraich dairy plant and development of Q.C. lab, Rs.731.33
lakh for setting up milk parlor, purchase of refrigerated van, glow sign, deep freezer,
visi-cooler, ice box, advertisement in print and electronic media/consumer awareness
program, bulk vending machine,Rs.651.00 in the form of state share for strengthening
and modernization of Mirzapur, Allahabad, Aligarh, Noida (Gautam Budh nagar), Jhansi,
Faizabad, Bareilly, Azamgarh, Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahar and Jaunpur dairy plant
and development of Q.C. lab in these plants and Rs.304.125 lakh for strengthening
and modernization of Ambedkar nagar, Etawah, Bijnore and Sultanpur dairy, cattle
Feed factory, Varanasi & Meerut Mineral Mixture Plant and development of Q.C. Lab
in it.
